The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines provides insight and up-to-date knowledge for students who are beginning to learn about wine. You will learn about the main wine types and styles, the appearance, smell and taste of wines. You will also learn how to describe the wine you have tasted in a simple and accurate way as well as the principles of pairing wines with food.
The one-day course is followed by an exam. Participants achieving success in the exam will receive a digital certificate issued by WSET. This qualification is recognised in many countries as a basic condition for certain jobs.

The course can be taken as a one-day intensive course, during which 9 wines will be tasted. The course will be held in English.
The course requires no prior knowledge. If the applicant wishes to take part in wine tasting, he/she must already be 18 years of age at the start of the course. However, anyone under this age or anyone who is unable to consume alcohol for health, religious or other reasons may also achieve success in the exam.

The application can be cancelled free of charge up to 15 working days before the course date.
In case of cancellation 7–14 working days before the course date, the cancellation fee is 50% of the course fee.
In case of cancellation within 7 working days prior to the course date, the cancellation fee is 100% of the course fee.
